The National Economic Forum (NEF) is an independent, not-for-profit platform for publicprivate-civil society collaboration. NEF brings together leading voices from government, business, start-ups, academia and civil society to shape national, regional and sectoral agendas that advance inclusive and sustainable growth in India and contribute to global progress.
NEF offers a trusted, impartial space to build consensus, forge partnerships and bridge the gap between ideas and action. Anchored in India’s democratic vitality, entrepreneurial energy, demographic dividend and civilisational ethos of dialogue, NEF works to support India’s journey towards developed-nation status by 2047 and to strengthen its role as a responsible stakeholder in the global economic order.

- Actively discover, curate and produce high-quality research and policy briefs in the domain of economic governance, sustainable frontiers, law and economy and international trade and relations.
- Catalyse public-private collaborations that deliver economic and social impact.
- Produce frontier-thinking, data-driven insights on India’s growth priority areas.
- Strengthen India’s role in global economic governance while attracting the best global capital, technology and practices to India.
- Provide a platform for various regional and upcoming Indian think tanks, universities and policy labs to present their research on topics of economic significance to national decision-makers, corporates and global leaders.
- Enable the next generation of Indian leaders and researchers through discussion, policy dialogue and cross-sector exposure.
- Promote competitive and cooperative federalism by convening central government,
state governments and industry on a common platform.
